Rob Bearden

Chief Executive Officer


Rob Bearden est l’ancien directeur d’exploitation de SpringSource et JBoss, deux des sociétés les plus reconnues au monde dans le secteur de l’open source. Rob Bearden a également occupé des postes à responsabilité pour Oracle, où il a dirigé une division d’une valeur estimée à 1 milliard de dollars, ainsi que pour I2 et Manhattan Associates. Il fait actuellement partie du conseil de direction de Black Duck et EnterpriseDB, deux fournisseurs brillants et reconnus dans le secteur de l’open source. Rajnish Verma

President & Chief Operating Officer


As President & COO, Raj oversees sales, sales engineering, channel, professional services, training and marketing. Raj has over 20 years of experience and has spent his entire career in the IT industry. Most recently, Raj was chief operating officer at TIBCO where he was instrumental in taking the company from $300 million to more than $1 billion in annual revenue. He was also previously executive vice president of worldwide sales and chief marketing officer at TIBCO, and before that held various other sales and marketing roles at Staffware, Parametric Technology Corporation and Wipro. Raj holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Bangalore University.

Shaun Connolly

Chief Strategy Officer


As Chief Strategy Officer, Shaun is focused on enabling Apache Hadoop to power the enterprise’s next-generation data architecture. Shaun has more than 25 years of experience in the software industry with experience that spans big data, cloud computing, application middleware, and enterprise open source software platforms. Shaun has a track record of building early stage and midsize software companies into successful market leaders and has held VP and Director level positions at VMware, SpringSource, Red Hat, JBoss, Princeton Softech, HP, Bluestone Software, and Primavera Systems. Scott Davidson

Chief Financial Officer


Scott brings 20 years of senior financial leadership to Hortonworks. Most recently he served as the CFO of Quest Software, a publicly traded systems management software company acquired by Dell. Previously, he held strategic financial roles within Citrix Systems and Precision Response Corporation including FP&A, Treasury, Investor Relations and Corporate Development. Before his software focused career, he was a National Bank Examiner with the United States Department of Treasury- Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Scott holds an MBA from the University of Miami and previously served as Board member and Audit Chair for Bomgar, an enterprise remote support solutions company prior to the sale of the company to Thoma Bravo, a private equity firm.

Jamie Engesser

Vice President, Product Management


Jamie bringing over 20 years of software industry leadership to Hortonworks. Most recently, Jamie had global responsibility for Hortonworks Solutions Engineering organization which is focused on guiding organizations to identify their Hadoop opportunity from Business Case, to Proof of Concept, to successful Project Delivery. Prior to Hortonworks, Jamie led Global Solutions Engineering teams at SpringSource and VMware. Jamie has extensive experience spanning Open Source, Java, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Application Infrastructure and Big Data. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University.

Scott Gnau

Chief Technical Officer


Scott Gnau a passé toute sa carrière dans le secteur des données, plus récemment comme président de Teradata Labs, où il orientait les activités de recherche, de développement et d'assistance à la vente pour les solutions de stockage de données intégrées, d'analyse de big data et solutions associées de Teradata. David Howard

General Counsel


As the General Counsel, David is responsible for the company’s worldwide legal affairs and compliance. He also serves as Corporate Secretary. David joined Hortonworks in 2013 as its first in-house attorney and brings over 15 years of legal experience in the software industry. Previously, David was Director and Senior Counsel at VMware, where he contributed to VMware's successful IPO and helped build and scale the legal department during the period that the company grew from $380 million to over $3.7 billion in annual revenue. David has also played key legal roles at GoodData and Serena Software. David holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School.

Greg Pavlik

Chief Products Officer


Greg Pavlik a plus de 15 ans d’expérience dans les marchés de systèmes distribués, des intergiciels et de l’analyse en temps réel. Il apporte son expertise en gestion de l’ingénierie logicielle pour diriger la division de développement de produits d’Hortonworks. Avant de rejoindre Hortonworks, Greg Pavlik a passé quasiment dix ans chez Oracle, où il a récemment occupé le poste de vice-président du développement de produits pour le célèbre logiciel SOA et le portefeuille d’intégration d’Oracle. Greg Pavlik a fait partie de l’External Research Board et de l’Architecture Review Board d’Oracle. Il a aussi dirigé les opérations techniques liées à la stratégie de l’entreprise en matière de services Web et l’infrastructure de traitement des transactions Fusion Middleware. Avant cela, Greg Pavlik a été l’architecte principal de la division intergiciel Java chez Hewlett Packard et a travaillé sur l’intergiciel Java Application Server chez Bluestone Software. Amir Siddiqi

Senior Vice President, Global Professional Services


As VP of Global Professional Services, Amir has over 25 years of experience in the software industry running Consulting, Education, Presales and Sales. As the Head of Global Professional Services, he is responsible for expanding clients use of Connected Data Platforms through Consulting implementations and Education Services. Amir has a track record of growing early stage and midsize software companies, with specialization in P&L turnaround and restructuring. Amir has held various VP and Director level positions at EMC, Pivotal, VMware, CA, and Platinum Technologies. He holds a B.A. in Finance from Baruch College (C.U.N.Y). Chris Sullivan

Senior Vice President, Global Channels and Alliances


Chris brings over 18 years of experience in technology leadership to Hortonworks and is responsible for the strategy and execution of its Business Development activities including Strategic Alliances, Channels OEM partnerships. Most recently, Chris led the Global Channels & Alliances group for VCE, the Virtual Computing Environment Company, supporting the growth and development of the company from early stage to a multi-billion dollar business in 6 years. Prior to VCE, Chris held various roles at Cisco across Enterprise, Commercial and Service Provider lines of business. Chris was also an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps and holds a BA in Business Administration from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Manil Vasantha

Vice President, Customer Success


Manil brings extensive experience leading customer support organizations and has successfully grown and built geographically distributed technical support offerings in both start-up and established Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, Manil was Vice President, Worldwide Customer Support at MapR Technologies, where he led the global Enterprise Support organization for their Hadoop platform. Prior to MapR, Manil held various leadership roles in customer support at CA Technologies, Encover Inc, and Visa. Manil has a Bachelors of Engineering, Electronics from Bangalore University and his Masters in Computer Science from University of New Orleans.
